Ice Skating in Derby

Pickett's Pond in Osbornedale is a perfect setting for ice skating when cold weather has creates ice thick enough to support it, and park rangers have posted safe skating signs. Bright lights illuminate the night for those who can't make it during daylight hours. A roaring fire in the pavilion's fireplace helps bring warmth between turns on the ice. Strap on a pair of skates, bring the marshamallows and hot chocolate, and enjoy the skating when conditions are right.

Remember to only skate when the ice is posted as safe!
