The early morning race runs through the historic downtowns of Shelton and Derby as a celebration of the achievements of one of America's greatest naval heroes, Commodore Isaac Hull, the commander of the USS Constitution during the War of 1812. This was the third year for this event which has quickly emerged as a great new holiday tradition.
