The Derby Summer Playground Program is for boys and girls from Derby between the ages of 6 and 13. The program offers supervised social play, athletic play, arts & crafts and day trips. The program is held at the Amendola Sports Complex on the east side of town. The program is free to Derby residents.
Parks & Rec is also be providing a free lunch every day for registered participants. The lunch program is sponsored by Food and Nutrition Services, a USDA governed operation through the Connecticut Association for Human Resources.

Days of the week: Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday
Time of Day: 9 AM to 2 PM
Location: Pavilion within the Amendola Sports adjacent to Bradley School.
Fees
There are no city registration fees; however there may be admission fees for each of the day trips taken during the summer
Equipment
Children are provided with all the equipment needed. They should dress appropriately for recreation activities.
How to Register
Registration is publicized through the Derby Schools prior to the close of school and at the site throughout the summer. Registrations are also accepted at the Derby Veteran's Community Center. You may contact the Center by phone at (203) 735-4222.
