Valley Booth Was Special!

One of the highlights of the All America City Competition is the Booth Display by each of the 30 national finalists. The Valley had a very active committee working on a booth that was interesting and informative about what makes the Lower Naugatuck Valley such a special place. The booth has been exhibited at other venues since coming back from Philadelphia.

Robbins Tesar Tradeshow Exhibits/Events helped supply equipment for our tradeshow booth as well as time and expertise.

A special feature of the Valley booth was the distribution of specially cancelled Valley commemorative post cards designed Shelton's own Helen Musante. The cards were distributed at the booth and were cancelled with a specially prepared rubber stamp produced by the United States Postal Service especially for the Valley's All America City effort. The committee wants to express a special thanks to Helen Musante and all our friends in the Seymour Post Office for making this possible. Take a look at the post cards here.

The Committee was very successful in soliciting the support of many area businesses  who provided samples of products produced in this area. Visitors to the booth had the chance to sample many of the unique products found in and around the Valley as well as  an opportunity to win special raffle packages including a grand prize of a Connecticut vacation. Participants included:

  • Metro Pool

  • Oxford PTO bicentennial Cookbooks

  • Peabody Museum

  • Pepperidge Farms

  • Peter Paul

  • Residence Inn

  • Schooner, Inc.

  • Shaw Mudge Company

  • Starbrite Candles
