The End

Division Street Green

Our tour ends at the small green at the junction of Elm, Main, and Division Streets. It was probably much larger originally, as it was once the center of Up-town, with a meeting house and the area's first school nearby.

We hope that you have enjoyed your tour of the Ansonia Historic District which began during the earliest days of our country's beginnings and which has maintained its continuity to the present time. It has been here since the colonists were struggling to establish settlements, during a century of British colony, during the Revolutionary War, after which it became part of a free country, throughout all of the wars and times of peace, throughout times of prosperity and depression, throughout all of the events which shaped the United States. Still these homes stand serenely, loved and cared for by their owners, ready for the future with pride.

Please visit Ansonia for yourself and take this tour. Make history come alive with a Walking Tour of the Ansonia Historic District!
