Elected Officials sworn in on December 1

The City of Derby celebrated the beginning of a new administration under
the leadership of incumbent Mayor Anthony Staffieri on Saturday, December 1,
2007 with an Inauguration Ceremony at Derby High school.
Former Aldermanic President Mike Kelleher served as master of ceremonies for
the program which lasted less than an hour and featured the singing of the
National Anthem and God Bless America by the mayor's niece Cara
Staffieri and the Presentation of Colors by the Derby Fire and Police
Departments.
City officials were sworn in by dignitaries including Attorney General
Richard Blumenthal, State Representatives Joe Crisco and Linda Gentile,
Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti and former tax board member Marty Martino. Mayor
Staffieri was sworn in by Derby native Judge Joseph Flynn
