Derby Gets in a Holiday Mood on Friday!

The holiday season will get its official start on Friday, November 27, when the Green will be magically transformed with the lighting of the City's Christmas tree and the festive lights on the Green. The festivities begin at 7 pm.  There will be choirs singing Christmas Carols at the gazebo and Free Hot Chocolate (courtesy of the Cultural Commission). The Tree will be lit at 8pm followed by a visit by Santa.

For early birds who want a special treat, consider arriving early for Derby Historical Society's fabulous Churches by Lantern tour which winds its way through the surrounding churches and combines history and Christmas carols. You'll arrive on the Green just in time for the flipping of the switch - and the arrival of Santa Claus! Click here for more information.
