Derby Teacher of the Year


Deborah Almonte is flanked by Ken Marcucio, Chairman of the Board of Education and George Tanner, Superintendent of Schools.

The Derby Public Schools announced today their 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year, Deborah Almonte for her commitment to the education and positive development of our young people. Deborah has served with distinction as a Bilingual/ESL Teacher with the Derby Public Schools since 2005 and consistently infuses her classroom with respect for young people and enthusiasm for learning.
