Olde Derby Day 2003
Photo Retrospective

Spectacular weather and enthusiastic crowds marked an expanded Olde Derby Day 2003. The Cultural Commission is to be commended on another fantastic job in bringing fun and entertainment to the community. The controversial pig races turned out to be rather tame, and by all accounts, the pigs left as happy as their audiences. Spectators were kept busy throughout the day with a variety of fun, games and music at the Ryan Sports Complex. Additionally, Markanthony Izzo spent the afternoon offering tours of the Sterling Opera House and videotaping memories of old Derby as told by many of his visitors. Bus tours highlighting the life and times of pioneer women's leader Francis Osborne Kellogg were offered throughout the day.
