Arrivederci Derby
The citizens of Derby bade arrivederci to the visiting delegation from its
new Italian Sister City - Puglianello - at an old fashioned American
barbeque held at the Kellogg Environmental Center. After a day when they
first visited Irving School and then spent time at the state capitol in
Hartford hosted by Senator Joe Crisco and Representative Vin Tonucci, the
Puglianello delegation was honored and showered with gifts at the
informal, but emotional farewell celebration.
All three of the delegates were presented with mementos to commemorate
their time in derby. They were surrounded by old friends and relatives and
a large number of new friends made during their trip.
