Democratic Primary

September 9

Winning candidates are marked in red.

Incumbent Mayor Marc Garofalo scored a resounding win over party endorsed candidate Mike Kelleher in a spirited Democratic primary. Garofalo totaled 1,169 votes to Kelleher's 741 a 61% to 39% margin of victory in an election that drew 67% of registered Democrats to the polls. Not only did Garofalo win, but all of the candidates for alderman running on his challenge slate were also victorious over the six party endorsed candidates. Five of the victorious aldermanic candidates are incumbents.

The stage is now set for the November elections when the Garofalo team will square off with a Republican ticket headed by Brad Tobin. Watch for the full listing of candidates soon.
