Mayor Anthony Staffieri and State Senator Joe Crisco joined other local officials, owners and staff of the new Brickhouse Restaurant in cutting the ribbon and officially opening the new dining spot on Pershing Drive.

The Brickhouse Restaurant on Pershing Drive in Derby is now officially open to the public following the ribbon cutting on Wednesday, December 17, 2008

“I am pleased to welcome the Brickhouse to our City. It’s proof that in Derby, when one door closes, another open. The new restaurant looks wonderful and it will be exciting to see new activity at this location. I am looking forward to another successful business partnership with the City of Derby,” Said Mayor Staffieri.

The former Emily’s Restaurant now has 6,500 square feet of renovated space. The new menu includes Italian/American cuisine. There is seating for approximately 172 people and includes a bar, dining area, lounge and large banquet room.

“We are hopeful that the Brickhouse will attract restaurant goers from all over Connecticut.  It’s another positive event for the City of Derby. I think the location is perfect and we hope to continue to develop this area of the City.” Said Sheila O’Malley, ED, City of Derby.
