Shawnee, Oklahoma

Shawnee, Oklahoma received their fountain in 1907 as you can see in this story. The fountain stands of the grounds of the SaantaFe Depot Museum in Shawnee, but as you can see above, it needs some work. We recently received a communication from Kinney Davis in Shawnee who tells us that the Pottawatomie County Historical Society had started to restore the fountain and get it working. They ran into problems when disassembling. They found the inside filled with concrete and restoration has been put on hold. They are hoping a fund raiser will be started to continue with the project. However Kinney already has a vision for the fountain restoration that he is allowing us to share with you. It's a rather remarkable vision of the future - take a look:
