Mayor Lauretti "Running" Again

Mayor Mark Lauretti displays his race number as he prepares to run for the 4th straight year.

Most people know that Shelton Mayor is an accomplished runner - for political office anyway. What they may not know is that he is also one of the runners who has participated in every Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race since its inception in 2002. Not only does he run, he finishes in the upper third!

When the mayor runs, he also brings along the family as his four children also ran in the race which probably made them the largest family in the race.

The Race Committee would like to thank Mark not only for running but for the tremendous support that the City of Shelton provides to the race.

Incidentally, the mayor just won re-election to another two year term of office!

Starting out in 2004

The mayor finished 113th in a field of 356 runners - Congratulations!
