City of Derby Election CentralMayor Staffieri Three-peats
We have been covering city elections since the mid '90's on this website with information about ballot questions, candidates, platforms and election results. People in Derby are very passionate about their city politics and the parties contest elections very vigorously as they should do in a democracy. On this website, we try to present the information to voters to help them make their own decisions, and we will continue to do that on this page which is now be a permanent part of the website. It is not an interactive section, a discussion board or a blog. Users can find those things elsewhere. What we do here is present the information that will be on the ballot with links to other relevant sites. The new Valley Independent Sentinel has some very active news coverage of the Derby election and is another good resource to consult on a daily basis. We congratulate all the candidates who ran - whether they won or lost. Democracy flourishes when there is an exchange of ideas, and all of the candidates deserve our thanks for putting themselves on the line for the betterment of our city!
