Derby Accepting Commerce Park ProposalsThe City of Derby acting by and through the Office of Economic and Community Development will receive proposals for the purchase and development of 27+/- acres of land within the Derby Commerce Park located south of Division Street and running easterly along the Naugatuck River, southerly along Route 34 and westerly along Metro-North property and northerly of land N/F Vartelas/Micci. Developer’s can submit a proposal for the property, development of the entire parcel or any portion of the parcel. The development of the Commerce Park land will be on the highest and best use of the parcel(s), and their compatibility with the terms and conditions set forth in the Invitation for Proposal. Copies of the proposal can be obtained for a $100.00 non-refundable fee at the Office of Economic and Community Development. Checks shall be made out to the City of Derby. Proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on the 31st day of October 2012 at the Office of Economic and Community Development, One Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT 06418. Proposal packages may be obtained at the Office of Economic and Community Development. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Derby shall be submitted with each proposal in an amount equal to $10,000.00, which will act as a Good Faith Deposit. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or part thereof if it is determined by the City that the proposal is not in its best interest.
