The City of Derby is putting together a Community Development Block Grant  (Small Cities) application which, if successful, would be funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD).

Program objectives of the grant are as follows:

The primary statutory objective of the CDBG program is to develop viable communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.

One of the eligible activities is rehabilitation of private single and or multi-family homes. There are potentially many Derby residents who could possibly benefit from this rehabilitation revolving loan fund, but the city must demonstrate that need in order to be funded.

If you interested in this program for a property which is located in Derby, please fill out this form and hit submit it to send it to the Economic Development office.
