Jeff Roginielewicz of Derby Wins Again

Jeff is shown crossing the finish line in a time of 15:55.

Robyn Hudak Tops Women's Field

Robyn Hudak of Monroe crosses the finish line in 20:38.

Jeff Roginielewicz dominated the field on the way to his second straight win in the Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race. The Quinnipiac cross country star led from wire to wire and finished almost a minute ahead of his nearest competitor, Brian Fullem in a time of 15 minutes and 55 seconds.  Four hundred forty-five runners completed the race on an overcast, but almost balmy morning.

Robyn Hudak of Monroe finished seven seconds in front of Kate Choromanski of Shelton to take the female division in a time of 20 minutes and 40 seconds.  Click here to see all of the Division winners.

The early morning race runs through the historic downtowns of Shelton and Derby as a celebration of the achievements of one of America's greatest naval heroes, Commodore Isaac Hull, the commander of the USS Constitution during the War of 1812. This was the third year for this event which has quickly emerged as a great new holiday tradition.

The event starts and ends along Shelton's Riverwalk along the Housatonic River, but twice traverses the river while making its way through Derby and Shelton.
