Two who made it into stone at the Capitol!

David Humphreys and David Wooster at the state capitol

These two statues proved to be a major problem for most of our quiz participants - at least the statue on the right. We had many people who correctly noted that David Humphreys is enshrined at the State Capitol in Hartford, but only five correctly identified David Wooster as the other historic figures with Derby ties with his own statue at the Capitol. Most assumed that it must be General Isaac Hull, Commander of "Old Ironsides" during the War of 1812. All three were subjects of earlier quizzes which you can see by clicking on the links. above

Correct answers were received from: Marc J. Garofalo, John M. Rak, Nick from Terryville, Joe Dedo, and Jack Vagnini.
