Derby is celebrating its 325th in 2000, and five things to celebrate are Derby's sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Kraus Corset Factory seemed to be the biggest obstacle to most submitters. That building is now the Sterling Rowe Apartment House on the corner of Roosevelt Drive and Third Street. Most people do not know that Derby not only produced Corsets, but also hoops for hoop skirts! You can click on several of the links above to learn more about several of the sites.

After this quiz was first posted and ended, the National Register added one more Derby location to the Register. The Birmingham Green Historic District was added to the Registry on April 21, 2000. Click here to learn about the history of the Green.

Correct answers were received from: Randy Ritter, John Rak, Mary Lou Boroski, Marsha Pettingill, Robert Hyder, Brian Piccolo, David Neustaedter, Markanthnony Izzo,  and  Marc Weissman.
