Prior to its move to Elizabeth Street in 2004, Derby City Hall was located on this parcel of land that was once the site of the "old" Irving School. The site at the corner of Olivia and Fifth Streets also served as the home of the Birmingham High School before the Derby High School was built on Minerva Street in 1906.

The Irving School was demolished in 1954. In the years between its demolition and the building of City Hall, a playground called the "Kiddie Corral" occupied the site. The current Irving School which was originally called the "New" Irving School is located a few blocks away on Seymour Avenue.

Correct answers to this quiz were submitted by Andrew Detullio, C.F. Douglass, and Brian McMahon. Walt Mayhew identified it as Derby High School, so we'll give him credit also.
