Services Offered:
The Child Guidance Clinic is a
state-licensed Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for Children providing a
multi-disciplinary approach to problems associated with behavioral, emotional
and learning difficulties of children and youth aged 2 to 18. Treatment is based
on the principals of child development and supportive of family preservation.
The Parent Aide Program offers parent-focused home based support services
by providing parenting skills and effective strategies to strengthen families so
they may function successfully as a unit.
Intensive Mentoring for Adolescent and Child Treatment (IMPACT) provides
year-long therapeutic services to kids affected by serious emotional or behavior
problems.
The Early Childhood Consultation Partnership (ECCP) provides
relationship-based services that focus on eh health social and emotional
development of children birth to five. PCRC's consultant provides staff
trainings for child care providers.
The Motheread / Fatheread Program is a new literacy program offered in
partnership with the
Derby Neck Library staff.
The Lower Naugatuck Valley System of
Care (SOC) coordinates an array of services intended to assist
children with serious emotional disturbance and their families.
Parenting Classes teaching the 1-2-3 Magic approach of Thomas
Phelan, Ph.D. are offered on a monthly basis, along with an extension
class, 'Surviving Your Adolescents'.
Eligibility Requirements: Families
& their children, ages 0-18, who are residents of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby,
Oxford, Seymour & Shelton.
Fees:
Child guidance Clinic: Sliding scale fees based on income
& family size. Services are covered by most major medical insurances, including Title
19.
Parent Aide Program: No fees charged
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Volunteer Opportunities: Persons interested in the Agency will be considered for Board involvement. Those with
professional training would be considered for direct service opportunities in which
confidentiality is essential. Child care volunteers are always welcome. Call the Agency
during normal business hours.
