MINI-GRANTS PROGRAM FOR EDUCATORS

2002-2003

 

Serving the public & parochial schools in the 6 Valley towns of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Oxford, Seymour & Shelton

We are once again pleased to offer Mini-Grant opportunities for Educators in the 6 Valley towns! We are looking for those special, creative and innovative projects that will nourish our students’ curiosity, and challenge them to achieve. We are interested in projects that are replicable in other classrooms and can be continued without additional funding.

All funded projects must be implemented during the 2002-2003 school year.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Project must fill a need in your school

Some form of parental and/or community involvement MUST be included in the proposal. Projects that include both will be considered more favorably

Your school principal must sign the last page of the application form

Low priority items are field trips, software and consumables

Funding may not be used for stipends for public school personnel

Your proposed budget should not exceed $500. Additional funds will be considered for collaborative projects

You will be asked to account for all expenses and submit receipts

Applicants will have an opportunity to discuss their project with a member of the Allocations Committee

The project must be complete by the end of the 2002-2003 academic year
