Laurens, SC
The historic National Humane Alliance Fountain given to Laurens, SC has a
new home in a new park in town. Located in the city's historic district, the
Back Street Park was created in 2014 at the corner of East Main Street and
Highway 221 after an abandoned building was removed from the site. The
formal dedication of the new park took place in November, 2020. The park was
dedicated to the black owned businesses in the area and the fountain was
added to the new park.
