Sunday's events were a tribute not only to the Valley's All America City award, but also to Connecticut's Family Day. A very public celebration, this eventwas held on the Derby/Shelton Bridge over the Housatonic River and featured food and entertainment - including a rousing concert by Orchestra New England concluding with a spectacular fireworks display. The afternoon also featured the Mattatuck Fife & Drum Corps, the Tony Lee Band, and civic proclamations by area officials. This was a free event open to all.
