Burlington, VT UPDATE From a purely historical perspective, we are saddened to learn from one of our Facebook posters, David Gallagher, that the NHA Fountain in Burlington was removed as part of a major transformation of City Hall Park completed with the reopening of the park in October 2020. Starting in 2011, the city began examining the park and by 2018 they had come up with a new design featuring an multi-function water fountain in the center of the park along with many other innovative enhancements. We understand Burlington's work to make the park the best that it can be for the people of Burlington and to "....give it more life." We are pleased to report that the fountain is safely in storage at a campground in Burlington while they determine its future. Earlier stories: Burlington, VT got its fountain in 1905 and put it into service in 1906 and it remained there in one form or another until 2020 's. An earlier view:
