Carl Sylvester has run in every Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road race since the very beginning. He started in the Golden Master Division, but has moved on to the Grand Golden Master Division and he'll enter this year's race as the four time defending champion in the division!

We recently found out that he's a "master" in another arena as well - art. As you can see in the picture on the left, he's quite an accomplished painter. Just today (November 8), his painting won a first place at the Art of Giving show held by the Valley Philanthropic Council and the Valley Arts Council. The winning picture is the one on the bottom in the picture and is called "Old Times". If you like it, you might want to stop Carl at the race because prints are available for sale!
