The "Bag Crew" had a busy night stuffing 500 runners bags full of surprises. As usual the Runner's Goody Bag will be special for the first 500 runners registered. In addition to the high quality T-shirt, the bag will include a variety of special items including a couple of Unilever products that have been so popular every year, a Wiffle Ball (made right here in Shelton), and a new addition this year - a 14 oz. bottle of a Myoplex sports drink. The Sports Center of Connecticut is also on-board again with coupons to take advantage of all the exciting adventures found at the Center. If you haven't visited lately, now is the time as there are many new things to do. You may run out of time, but you'll never run out of fun at the Sports Center! Another new item this year will be a package of Yumnuts, a heart-healthy power snack. Are you a Yumnut? Why not send them a photo of yourself running the race this year for their Yumnuts Photo Contest on Facebook. Bertucci's has coupons and magnets for the runners. The committee was having trouble concentrating on the bags while reading the menus for Bertucci's that will also be in the bag! Discount coupons for those fabulous pies at Oronoque Farms didn't make it any easier, but thinking about pies for Thanksgiving is a good thing!!
